If they're looking for someone younger than David, why not Pip? She's
young enough to be around when Rory will need advice and has plenty of
experience.

I suggest Tom. He knows everything and has great experience of
negotiations.

How old is Shula? She used to work for Rodways, didn't she? Has she
got qualifications in the land agent area?

Brian wouldn't have him though, he's felt Tom's headstrong ways.

If the age of majority is 18, how old is Rory to be when he can make
farming decisions? He's already a teenager, and David's not 60 yet. SWs
got their maths wrong? And Pip's not mature enough imho anyway. Why
hasn't someone brought in someone we don't yet know - why did it have to be
another extended family member anyway? Brian must have farming contacts
outside BL who know his way of working and know Rory?

25. The age is set so that he has grown up and is not a wastrel just
spending the money.

It is certainly implied from recent discussions but I think something
was said when Brian first floated the idea which was some time ago.

Because Pip is female, and simply not on Brian's radar as being a
responsible adult who could handle business matters. Also, she's only 24
now, so it might not be appropriate for her to be taking decisions now
that are not to be handed to Rory until he's 25.

Helen is the obvious solution. Farming knowledge and not business
oriented like Tom. Knows how to handle men with her tuna bake. And can
teach rugrat a thing or two about knives and stabbing them in people's
backs which should go down well at Home Farm.

When I suggested Pip or asked about Shula I was trying to find a
female as previous suggestions were all male. Helen would be good
though. And She's had a successful business, and ran the Organics shop
too before Rob ruined it with his replacement of manager. She seems
to be good at dealing with people. And she didn't stab Rob in the
back, but in the front. Or did you mean metaphorically? I can't think
of an occasion.

What's a metaphor? What ever you want to use it for!
