Looking at Digiguide I thought some TV channel was being unusually
honest about it's Saturday night offering. But it turns out the
programme is actually called Monster Carp.

When I was in the local newsagents some time ago, I couldn't believe that
it wasn't a spoof - "Total Carp Magazine" . . .

There are specialist magazines in almost every sphere - and it's not
that new a phenomenon; when I was on day-release to (as it was then, and
I have a - rare? - tie to prove it!) Newcastle Poly, I was surprised to
find a copy of the Ball Bearing Journal (which I think had been going a
long time). [The name is also an in-joke.]
