A mutual friend visited Linda, a few days ago, and has given me
permission to pass this on.
She's now been transferred to a nursing home, where they can give her
proper care. She can still use her phone though and can read messages
on FB, so if anyone who's friends with her there wants to contact her,
I'm sure she'd enjoy getting any PMs. I don't know if she's able to read
umra at all. Her husband, Paul, hopes that she'll still be here for
Christmas but, sadly, she can't have much longer.
Hi everyone, Mr BTMS here. I have, over the years, been following all
your postings on UMRA but not posted myself as I couldn’t possibly match
the wit and knowledge exhibited by Mrs BTMS over the years. I was
by your concerns and support and want to thank you all. And hey let’s
be too tied in to the sadness of the situation. Linda spent some her
formative years in Jamaica :-) About 20 years ago we had a couple of
holidays not Jamaica but Grenada which at the time was more like the
Jamaica Linda knew as a child. And No I didn’t make her..... she went of
her own accord. (Rounds of applause.....)
On a more serious note, Linda is not now really able to engage with
computers, TV etc but does know who everyone is and still thinks she can
put some finishing touches to a play she started to write last year. We
have absolutely no idea how much time we have left to attempt this.
really come close to the reality.
My thoughts are with you both.
