"Most of the US state of Arizona does not use Daylight Saving Time

Daylight Saving Time. ... With the exception of the Navajo Nation,
Arizona does not set the clocks forward 1 hour in spring for DST with
the rest of the United States."
Neither does Belarus. We made a day trip to Grodno. I had checked they
use Moscow Time but failed to spot they don't use Summer Time.
Grodno bus station is every bit as boring as any British bus station to
while away an extra hour in. We could have had a proper meal rather than
using a snack bar opposite the bus station.
Argentina doesn't have daylight saving time: they set their clocks
three hours behind GMT even though the capital city is almost as far
to the west of the three-hour marker as it is possible to go and most
of the country really ought to be in the four-hour zone. Chile, its
neighbour, is one hour behind Argentina but during the summer, when it
observes DST, the times are the same.
We had booked seats on a very early international bus from Bariloche,
near the west of Argentina to Puerto Montt as far to the west of Chile
as it is possible to go at that latitude. I'm always a bit nervous
about turning up late for a long-distance trip so tend to err on the
side of caution. Time spent in the cafe watching your
train/boat/plane/bus preparing for boarding is never wasted time IMO.
We arrived at Bariloche with more than an hour to spare and a bus to
Puerto Montt was already boarding. It was quarter to six.
I hadn't realised that Puerto Montt was such a popular destination so
I casually asked how many buses ran there each day.
"Just the one," came the reply
"But we have booked seats on the seven o'clock"
"This is the seven o'clock."
"But it's not even six o'clock yet!"
"Oh. The seven o'clock bus always leaves at six o'clock in the
And that explanation was all that I was going to get.
And China has just the one timezone....
