Fabrice stares morosely out of his salon window looking out for
Jennifer. The streets of Felpersham are filling up with shoppers, and
Borsetshire’s top snipper has been looking forward to dealing with
Jennifer’s roots and getting some dodgy Aldridge money in his till;
but all Jennifer wants to do is hide away. Even a trip to the village
shop is an ordeal, with every tongue wagging about the events of last
week. At least, festering sibling rivalry is put aside, as Tony and
Lilian come to her rescue, while Ruairi brings a tear or two to
Jennifer’s already reddened eyes when he makes a touching offer. Poor
old Neil, however, is buckling under the strain, and Kirsty, thrown in
at the deep end at Lower Loxley, is also under pressure.
(So where has Alice gone?)

Kirsty, thrown in at the deep end at Lower Loxley?
I thought she was starting a job at Bridge Farm, covering for Susan.
