After clicking through and enjoying Ms Higgins' latest Ambridge digest
(thank you, Serena) I somehow clicked on her Guardian profile and
there, near the top and dated last November I stumbled upon her
obituary piece for her father, Peter Higgins. It was a beautiful,
affectionate, loving essay about someone who had been quietly
exceptional in his own field (whilst maybe not being so quiet out of
it) and who appeared to have been a really lovely person. If you have
a moment, do take a look.
