Regular listeners, irregular listeners and general umrats my enjoy
episode 4 of series 12 of Father Brown, currently available on iPlayer.
It concerns the recording of The Muckles, an Everyday Story of Farming
Folk and includes the all too imitable Mqartin Jarvis and his wife,
Rosalind Ayres. Pure hokum, as they all are.

Series 12? But we are only on Series 1 at the moment. Hang on there -
you said iPlayer so I guess you mean TV. For some reason I had thought
that Martin Jarvis had given up working on TV because of a facial
disfigurement that occurred some years ago so I had automatically
assumed this was on the radio. I haven't had a TV for so long that I
wouldn't have noticed if he had snuck back onto the box - as he
obviously has.

Meanwhile back on R4x they are playing Series 1, episode 4 of Father
Brown with Andrew Sachs in the title role and some bloke called Graham
Blockey playing "Johnstone." An awful lot of episodes from this first
series are missing: I suppose it dates back to the wipe and re-record
era of BBC tape.

I was amused at the reference to listening to the programme "at 7 o'clock".
Can't think what they might be alluding to.

I was amused by Brenda saying "As soon as I hear the theme tune I rush
to the radio... and switch it off."
