Observer in a letter to The Guardian is one Charlotte Higgins. Is this
proof that Borsetshire has seceded from the UK?

I see that among the Foreign Correspondents objecting to the sale of The
Observer in a letter to The Guardian is one Charlotte Higgins. Is this
proof that Borsetshire has seceded from the UK?

Who could blame Borsetshire if it did? (But if one reads the small
print (and one should always read the small print) it says "Current
and former contributors to the international pages of the Guardian and
Observer" which is not quite the same as the headline. But the small
print wouldn't have made such an amusing post.)
