Interesting side note. Last night was episode 20599 and "today" he will
be recording episode 20599 - which is 40 ahead or just about six weeks
away - which confirms that headway is still being maintained.

I am not sure if they are celebrating his first appearance in the
programme or his first as Brian as it is not clear and he did have a
small part previously.

Did he get the treatment for it on the NHS?

He's generally seen as an upstanding member of the community, despite
his small peccadilloes.

Is that another name for shoes with tassels?

If not, it should be.

I was rather hoping that someone would ask how we made the jump to shoes
and tassels to save me the embarrassment of doing so. If somebody could
explain that for the benefit of anyone in the dark I'm sure it would be
welcome. I'll just nonchalantly saunter off over here for a few minutes
humming a little tune to myself.

When Caroline had an affair with Brian she told Shula about it and the
latter made reference to Brian's tassels if I remember correctly - but
it was a long time ago.

I'm a little puzzled: do we know when that interview took place?

He was interviewed on the breakfast show on Sunday morning [1], but I'm
not sure if this article is based on that interview, though bits of it
sound familiar.

[1] I was only waiting for Laura Kuenssberg, honest.

It is datestamped 25 March and is linked to Midlands Today and BBC West
Midlands so I assume he was in the Mailbox (or wherever they now live)
and was invited in to be interviewed.

I was told that he once was visited by a rep from a publisher and he
bade her farewell thusly: "Come and see me again when you have less time".
