My mobile IP has decided that I must something called RMS instead of old-fashioned texting (SMS). Apparently all the kool kidz are using it.

Do I need this? What can I do with it that I couldn't before? Should I worry about it? Should I turn it off?

There was a big ship once, 112 years ago, that sank. It was called the
RMS Titanic. Is this an omen?

It supports multimedia messaging better (photos. etc.) but the feature I
find mst useful is the indication a message ha been a)delivered and b)
read. It may be you don't need that, and frequently when a read receipt
would be useful RMS is not available and the system reverts to SMS,
which is a shame.

I've got an iphone and daughters and gf use facetime and what's ap. Is
it that? It does tell of missed calls and has video of the caller and
can send pictures and videos but I have a very cheap phone deal,
around £7 a month, so not much internet..
