I had a Covid booster this afternoon. Before impaling me the young lady
said I would "have a small prick". Oh it was so tempting to press her on
it and ask whether this would be a permanent side-effect but she seemed
too sweet and innocent to grasp an innuendo.

Conga-rats on the booster! Based on my experience at the weekend when
the surgery staff all came in wearing civies to perform a mass
vaccination, I can't help wondering if the nurse was saying this
deliberately to provoke a reaction? The people queuing for their jabs
at our place were so dour (Good grief! This is Yorkshire and the jabs
were FREE!!) that one plain clothes clerical assistant started walking
up and down the lines telling jokes to try and get everybody to be a
bit more lively.

An innuendo? Isn't that an Italian suppository?

Then there was Dr. Rob Buckman’s tale about his training days and calming a
patient before jabbing them with a needle: ‘Just a little prick with a
needle…’
