This week's nonsense is ignoring history and creating new nonsense out
of nothing.

1. If Tony was keen on an eco house then he has had twenty years to do
something about it - at his age is he likely to consider that he will
ever manage to live in it - after all Neil built an ordinary house and
that took long enough.

2. Tom said years and years ago to Brenda or possibly Kirsty that he
knew just where on the farm he wanted to build them a house and then
things went pear shaped with the relationship because of Kirsty / Canada.

3. Beechwood is new build. If it needs £20k of work then the original
builders should be called back - Justin undertook the development so is
morally liable if not practically - how can a house of that age need
£20k of work?

4. Anyone would think that those writing this rubbish had never
previously listened to the programme as with that family having regular
business meetings and plans up to their ears to be working things on the
(goat's) hoof is simply inconceivable (trying to avoid expletive deleted).

And on another subject

5. And if Justin's idea works then Fallon will be developing her
"signature bakes" and there is going to be an intellectual property row
with Bodge Farm (so staying on topic).

No he won't - they have someone signed up. But he will develop her
signature bakes into a completely new business (what has happened to the
upcycling that she as also doing visiting France with Emma to buy
furniture and the rest of it - another forgotten story line?).

I thought that Fallon took all the furniture out at that time and so she
has a business she could be developing. Why do the writers not even
remember things from a few months ago? It is almost as if corporate
memory has been destroyed.

Yes, Fallon decided she wanted a pared back, Scandi vibe, and that she
didn't want Fallon's upcycled stuff after all (having initially thought
she did want it). Ardil then bought the furniture, for GG, when he had
to start doing that on the cheap.

I think the first Fallon should be Natasha - and I had forgotten that
Adil took on a bulk buy - so she has money to do something - which would
have been the service station.

in the house he had planned with Brenda.

The general assumption, on BlueSky, is that it doesn't need £20K work,
this is just Helen trying to shaft Kirsty over the price. It's
noticeable that, although Helen had talked about commissioning a survey,
a couple of weeks ago, there was no mention of the surveyor's report
when she was talking to Kirsty.

If there were any serious problems with the house, Helen should have
been raising them with Kirsty, as her landlord, long ago. If, as is
more likely, any problems are wear and tear, caused by Helen and her
boys, then that's her problem, not Kirsty's.

It's a shame that it's unlikely that Kirsty ever took a deposit at the
start of the tenancy (or even drew up a formal tenancy agreement), as
Helen would just be giving Kirsty good reason to withhold it.

6. It's totally ridiculous for Rex and Kirsty to be suggesting that
they should reintroduce beavers to Ambridge, based on having had their
lease renewed. If they were to go ahead with this, it would take at
least five years, quite probably more than that, for them to get the
necessary approvals[1], do the necessary fundraising, and then build
the fences etc., before the first beavers could set paw in Ambridge. By
which time, the lease would be up, with no certainty that it would be
renewed.

I don't know how long the leases are on those parts of the rewilding
which don't belong to Damara but they could be a problem, as well.

[1] They would also be very unlikely to get the necessary approvals, or
any of the grants which may be available, being neither the land owners
nor agents for the owners. I can't see Justin, and probably not any of
the other landlords, wanting to commit to a seriously long term project.

Thank you Serena. Local TV here in Southern England (bring back Fred
Dineage) last week had a leading segment on the introduction of beavers
and some beaverlets which were being named and the story has obviously
been ongoing for a number of years and I completely forgot to mention it.

Obviously having a beaver Moon got the subject to the top of everyone's
inbox at the same time - Beaver Marketing Organisation perhaps?
