The most revolting bit of plotting – a tide of human excrement – has
flooded the town and it’s the perfect metaphor for the stinking state of
the wider world

Q. Why did the golfer wear an extra pair of trousers?
A. In case he got a hole in one

Thanks Serena. I am not sure she has quite the same edge as her
predecessor - but then you have to accept that maybe the content on
which she is reporting lacks a certain je ne sais quoi compared with the
past.

For the first time I can recall I didn't listen last night,. Had other
stuff to do and no broadcast tonight so can hear it then. Didn't care
much.

It's currently getting a Saturday afternoon repeat straight after Any
Answers. I'm not sure if that's a permanent move or a temporary
gap-filler. Or a permanent gap-filler.

Permanent gap filler. Someone made a fuss at the last move of the
omnibus so as a sop Friday gets repeated and the Omnibus is released
early on the web to certain apps (not get_iplayer) but apparently is
about to be removed from world wide distribution - although the BBC
website is as usual lacking in detail.

As I have been away I am as usual a week behind but will be catching up
shortly I anticipate.
