Many thanks everyone. I had a very quiet day. We have just returned
from Lisbon and Sintra and both of us need to lose weight to satisfy the
medics - me for a few days time and the good lady wife by June. We are
however off to the National Space Centre next month as I have wanted to
go for a long time and we arranged a long weekend around that and some
other treats, following which the good lady wife will be back on the
diet again and it will do me no harm.

Most mail clients can access newsgroups - Thunderbird certainly can as I
am using it.

Outlook - "Tools" > "Accounts" > "News" and configure a news server.

I am sure other clients can manage it as well.
