Will she be given a pair of spectacles which will enable her to see that
her husband is not her husband? EMNTK!

Birthday News for today, 29 May: Lynda Snell.
I didn't realise I shared my Umra Anniversary (1) with such illustrious
company. I hope reflecting on her life will give Lyndy as much pleasure
as does my reflections of my Umratic life. Thank you, everyrat!

(1) 26 years - I feel ancient. Oh yes, I remember now, I AM ancient.

(How old is Lindy now? She - and Carole - must be clocking up some,
though nothing like the mothers of the village, to paraphrase what they
say in parliament!)

No you're not. You're as I remember you at the last BBQ we both
attended, purple socks and all. And long may the Amethyst Artisan (as
I'm sure umbrella - he of the arboriculturists T-shirts - would put it)
continue. As are all UMRAts I've met. (Besides, 26 ... due to upheavals
in 2022 I no longer have the exact dates, but my UMRA start was I'm sure
the year is started, which I think was 1995.)
I'm 64, and feeding myself. (And not losing any hair [though more of it
is grey or white than was once the case], though it wouldn't worry me if
I was.)

I can still taste that Gloucester Old Spot pork … which reminds me, perhaps
it is time to wash the cutlery!

Yes, the first (with Carole/Lynda and Higgs), and I _think_ every
Reading one (I was there for the dild [though didn't have any!] - can't
remember which that was), though none of the devolved ones. Even brought
my mum to at least one of them! I also went with another UMRAt to some
event featuring "Brian" and "Shula", in north London IIRR; can't
remember whether that was pre, post, or during the run of Reading ones.

I think you are confusing me with the Purple Potter. Much as I am sure
she is an admirable person in just about every way I have to confess
that I loathe the colour purple!

I so WISH I hadn't read the penultimate word with an l instead of a d.

At 64 you are but a chick -see how you feel in 2039!

(-: :-)!!! (I was just referring, of course, to the Beatles song!)
[Could say "I'm not feeling myself today". Though actually am fine.]

"At the end of ... thirty-nine" - to paraphrase ABBA - who actually said
eighty-nine: and said it around seventy-nine! Another "makes one feel
old" meme ...

Lynda Snell was born 29/05/1947, current age 77.

Wikipedia tells me that Carole joined the Radio Drama Company in 1966,
so she can't be much younger than Lynda.
