I know Leonard's got the accent for it and they managed to squeeze in a
TI but did they have to turn The Archers into a Last of the Summer Wine
tribute act?

It was really awful. Ridiculous story lines.

ANd as for Leonard's "it's needed to pay for the NHS", the tax raised
would not even pay for 1 day of the NHS, and they're already starting to
back down, exempting people over 80 (although I don;t see how that would
work) and Steve Reed's "Assuming the projections ... are correct". They
know they are not correct. HMRC are going to be thrown under the
tractor. The sooner the better....

I have now heard the relevant episode and am deeply disappointed to
record that Carolet reports this to be a Keri Davies week. Under no
circumstances would Tony have damaged Helen's (well Kirsty's) lawn. We
seem to have lost all links to previous stories - no George (thank
goodness). And Ruth was over the top and unkind. Fallon put together a
miracle almost single handedly and all she needed was to talk over how
she needs to think such things through before making it her job - BUT
have they forgotten her experience running external catering when the
Tea Room was her business - she KNOWS that - she was solving a problem
of helping Brookfield make money.

If even Keri descends to this level I feel that the team are in their
death throes (is that right - it looks wrong).

Thank you. I apologise for not spotting that - it just felt wrong! It
was the s on throes which led to disquiet.

I wondered, and so did others, if he's about to be the first of the
old ones to go. That would be odd as he's fringe really and so many
main ones are old. Or is he the driver of a coach trip of OAPs to some
place, drinks while there and on the way back they all go together? A
crash and the next level, already grandparents, David,Ruth, Tony, Pat
are the OAPs now.

With these writers they will fall down the ironstone mine as they all
cross the field to welcome Walter Gabriel back to the village (a
storyline borrowed from The Bowmans).

After knocking back vodkas in a Laotian-themed bar in Felpersham
perhaps?

Sounds distinctly dodgy - what does a Laotion theme sound like?

Something like this, perhaps?
