I listen to radio or books all night as I sleep badly and it sends me
to sleep, or stops me being bored. Whenever you hear any nuggering
podcast now you get a message first, not a short one, by someone with
a cosy accent telling you they make podcasts and how much they enjoy
doing it and to try some. This is before they let you listen to any
that you've just chosen to nuggering listen to. I often choose one,
like A life Scientific, and intend to let it run on to the next and
next, and there is the obligatory quite long advert for podcasts
before EACH one. I know they are nuggering there as I've nuggering
chosen to nuggering listen to one. So the result is I tell Alexa to
stop and I listen to a book instead as the repeated ads make me angry,
not relaxed and sleepy.

Twin! Do you find, as I do (and as my mother did), that something you
are really interested in sends you off to sleep quite promptly, whereas
you toss and turn for hours when it's something a bit boring?

It varies. With a book I set a 10 minute sleep timer which means not
so much of the story to go back to or I can tell Alexa to continue.
R4Ex is good too but not if a comedy.

Paul Peters, late of this parish, said the same thing.

Those messages are just as annoying during the day for exactly the same
reason,

But this is the BBC. They know best, so you should all listen and
appreciate every bliddy repeat of that bliddy message.
