A couple of weeks ago I realised things which should have downloaded
hadn't so I updated the program and all was well. Until to-day. As
I'd been away and not run the PVR Manager for a few days I was a bit
surprised that there were no downloads this morning. I discovered
that Heat 10 of Brain of Britain was available so I went to Command
Prompt and used --pid= etc. but without success
I used it earlier today and I have all the expected downloads. However
since the last update the PVR Manager no longer refreshes the programme
cache first so it does not know about new programmes.
Search Record Queue Add search to PVR Refresh Cache.
Press Refresh Cache.
You need to do this every time before running the PVR to download
programmes.
Why it is no longer triggered I do not know but I have not been bothered
to ask.
Hope this solves your problem.
I haven't used it for some time, so I can't comment about current
problems, but I have always had to manually refresh the cache before
running the PVR. There must be some setting that I missed.
I run get_iplayer from the command prompt and don't use the PVR etc
but I wonder if everybody is using the current version of the program
and whether that would make any difference here?
The current version is, I think 3.35. I'm running 3.29 and I regularly
see error messages both at the start of my session and through it but
since I end up downloading what I want I haven't upgraded yet. Perhaps
those errors are affecting others more than me? I never download TV
and the start-up error messages I get are TV-related though the ones
through the session are usually radio errors.
