Received here via NovaBBS. I no longer have a PlusNet account so I can't tell you any more than that right now.

Thanks.

I think my original post above eventually emerged via e-s - although I
had UMRA set to come via PlusNet, I've now changed it to e-s, and I
think it finally left my machine then.

I think the PlusNet news server (or the third-party one that PlusNet
present as if their own) has fallen over: I've just been through
changing all the newsgroups I take that are available from both, to e-s,
and the ones I previously had set to PN have suddenly come to life. Of
course, the place I'd normally raise this - the 'group
plusnet.service.customer-feedback - is only available on their server!
If this keeps up, another reason for sticking with PN goes.

There is PlusNet Community, reachable from their web home page, with various useful categories. That's what I used to use. Very effective but you will need a login and password which, if you've never logged in before, you will need to set up. There is also the non-interactive Service Status page which anybody can use

I remember seeing that, I think some years ago (though I can't remember
whether news was one of the six or so sections in it). I couldn't find
it at all now.

While poking around on their site, I did find something like "contact us
on X at @Plusnet". So I've tweeted - we'll see what happens. It's come
to something that you have to shame a company on ex-twitter to get them
to do something. (Assuming they do.)

Pity I don't do Twitter really as Jacobs have ignored my message (via
their website) regarding underbaked Tuc.

Incidentally, I have since given a Tuc to my sister and said "Taste
that." I could tell immediately from her expression that she recognized
something wrong.

I don't have all the Gubbins available to me right now so very quickly and without further explanation, if you go directly to community.plus.net you will start to get into it all.

There's even a Most Recent Posts section on that page where, at time of writing, the most recent most recent post is by Mr Bert Coules of uk.d-i-y fame and he is asking exactly the same question as you. Follow that thread and you might get your answers without having to do anything else.

Thanks - I've got back into that community now (sigh! another place I
have to check regularly. But thanks anyway!); and saint Bob appears to
have made the magic incantations and it's working again.

A poster in uk.telecom.broadband is reporting problems with Plusnet
