To get round the block, quickly hit the Reader Aa in blue. For those new
to the idea, this is what people like me use all the time anyway if the
site is written properly. Getting round blocks is a brilliant wheeze.

Is the Reader Aa thing a feature of iPhones or Macs? It doesn't seem
obvious here on Firefox.

I can read the Washington Post and several other paywalled news sites
simply by turning JavaScript off in my browser.

Perhaps you need to be an alcoholic to get a clickable Aa thing. (Or
have some accessibility feature installed/enabled.)

I don’t have anything specific added, no. It’s not auto magic either: it’s
up to the company to enable it.

Jpeg: ask your friends. Ask them how they get newspaper and magazines to
read out loud to them when finding an interesting article link. Send them
the one I gave here so you can hear them access it as you speak to them.

That reminds me of reading/hearing that some Americans were somewhat
startled to hear that the AA, among other functions, has a car hire
function ...

Do they have the wisdom to know the difference?

Maybe it is faster than taking the first step!

Today I seized the opportunity to create an Argentine version of the
hoary old A.A. Service joak.

We were walking towards the offices of the Automobil Club Argentina to
talk with them about an insurance matter.

"Where are we going, again?" I asked.
"ACA" she said.
"But we're already here," I responded.
"No, we're going to ACA"
"But we're already acá"

(I guess you had to be there..)

Assuming Aca means something in (whichever language they speak in
Argentina - I can never remember which country in south America speaks
which), that's presumably a variation of the sketch that goes back to at
least the Three Stooges or Laurel and Hardy, though there was a nice
(relatively) recent one involving the names of Kofi Anaan and Condoleeza
Rice.

Found it:
- subtle it isn't,
but it's made me smile again.

If something works, thank an engineer. (Reported seen on a bumper sticker.)

As far as I know it’s across platforms. I’ll ask the RNIB themselves.
