What I want to know is how did Brad and Mia do in their A levels. Have
they got the university places that they had hoped for - and are they
planning to go to the same university or will they be going their
separate ways?

Mia Grundy was born 20/01/2006, current age 18.

She is therefore the right age to be getting A level results this week.

We have a near neighbour called Mia who is 18.
She isn't taking any A levels - she's a cat.

Mentioned this evening - Mia got her first choice of Newcastle (?) and
Brad got all A*s. Details may be wrong as I was listening on half a pair
of earphones bluetoothed to a mobile phone using the wifi from a coach
returning from London [1].

Yes, that was as I heard it, as well. In another place[1], Brenda
Selwyn, late of this parish, commented that Brad had decided to go to
Felpersham as he didn't feel ready to leave home yet.

I heard it too, 4 A stars. Meanwhile George is losing the plot and
Emma close too. Will suddenly took a grown up step. I felt Emma
phoning Alice as the session ended was a step too nuggering far. Just
end it, SWs.

Don't worry, she's only a step-Grundy. She's Nic's daughter from her
earlier relationship but, unlike her brother, has remained close to the
Grundys, even after moving back to live with her father.

You heard right, John.

Now we did hear Brad go and look at somewhere - but think it was local. He
didn’t want to go away?

Don’t think he thought he’d get the grades, certainty no money to pay for
it. (Neither are going to go very far on their parents support)

We heard him go to look a one of the top, ancient, universities[1] but
it overwhelmed him somewhat and I think it was probably in the aftermath
of that that he decided he was going to go to Felpersham. It wasn't the
grades which worried him but how he'd cope in such a different
environment to the one he grew up in.

[1] Said university was unnamed but, from the descriptions given, a
number of people identified it as Durham.
