I cannot recall if I have ever felt the need to complain about a week
before it is over previously (I am rarely up to date this week is an
exception).

Last night ascended new heights.

1. Alan says the PCC needs to approve the bell ringing plan.
2. The PCC meets on Thursday evening.
3. Neil and Alan are out distributing leaflets for the bell ringing
4. The bell ringing is not 1 hour as proposed but 10 hours
5. The bell ringing is on Friday

When were the ringing teams setup - given it is now the working day?

Produce and print enough leaflets for the village - who is paying and
they are produced in minutes?

Freddie is told to drop players and rings one of them before even
knowing if he has 11 players for a game which is presumably several
weeks away?

Then I looked. Nick Warburton again.

It is soul destroying.

I hadn't thought of all that but now you mention them it is all a
mess.

Beggars belief. These are not real time decisions, this is script writers
compressing ideas into a week and making a plot out of it. Lazy thinking
in my not very humble opinion.

Obviously being run off high speed, not that I have the slightest idea how
long it takes to print a few hundred on a computer or some other gizmo.
Cost? Probably out of some mythical savings account that Pat will have to
come clean on. She’s already been in trouble buying Henwee whatever it was
last year, animals of some sort.

Never mind the cricket team fiasco: time those twins grew up: they sound
more like clones of Nigel than ever.

A decent printer will print 12 pages a minute. Say 10 for easy maths.
How many houses in the village? Perhaps 300. Produce an A5 flyer so that
two can be printed on one sheet That's 15 minutes printing, plus set up
time and guillotining. Easily done in half an hour.

I can accept actually producing a leaflet can be done in that time. But
Pat and Emma were not involved and they are driving the campaign - so
how did Alan know what could or should be said on the leaflet.
Practically it is nonsense even if physically possible.

More likely it’s expected whoever’s printer is used, it will be done for
love.

And come Thursday we are shown that Tom does not wear any trousers.
What a waste of 13 minutes. Sorry but it was clear days ago that Kirsty
was not budging and there was nothing to justify a price reduction. How
did Tom and Natasha not reach that conclusion over the weekend.

Can some one please prepare some scripts which respect human behaviour?

Tom and Trasha have been arguing over this for *weeks*, if not months.
Trasha’s a poor money manager as we knew already. The fact that she said
she had maxed out her credit cards not long ago told me that.

Going back over it I noticed at one point that Tom never "got around" to
setting up a joint bank account. So perhaps he is not quite as stupid
as some of us believe. It was during the week with the argument with
Fallon and it was (I thought at the time) a throwaway line about the
cards - but in reality Tom is not making unlimited additional funds
available to Natasha.

So did I originally. I have a little project underway and had to
relisten to the episode concerned.

However Rex and Tom needed a spanking over allowing Lily to walk over
them. Any she is intelligent - she is simply not that stupid.

Which prompts me to recall the "Lark Rise to Candleford" TV
series, in which character Daniel Parish appeared to be single
handedly producing a local newspaper, of traditional dimensions,
using only a press of this sort:

<https://www.theflywheelnc.com/blog/what-is-letterpress-printing>

I recall chatting about it to the guy running the old printing
shop at Blists Hill, who was similarly sceptical of the workload
in simply setting the required amount of type.

The last time I can recall hearing from Martyn Gibson in the Scrooge
week when he was the voice of calm reason in Justin's car he was saying
how he no longer allowed life to upset him, how he was laid back, almost
recumbent, and just wanted a quiet life.

On Friday the same character and the same writer delivered a frothing,
storming nonsense of a performance when as far as I could gather he was
having meetings for BL which would be on the Estate, well out of the
village, certainly not likely to be impacted by the ringalong and the
bells were unlikely to be that intrusive at that distance as I am sure
any meeting room on the BL Estate is well sound insulated as they would
not want their secrets escaping.

And at the age of 67 can I ask what career prospects Neil Carter
actually has now that he has satisfied Susooon's need for him to be a
manager?

Someone please shoot Nick Warburton in his writing hand.

Forget beavers, it's clear the Am is full of sharks being jumped (and I
don't mean Martin Gibson).
