I have just taken a wander over there and I can see that the last couple
of weeks have been "summarised" by Gus who clearly struggled with
Wednesday 10 July.

The word "summarised" is because in reality for those who have not
looked at these reports they are incredibly detailed covering not only
the speech but also representation of the tone and delivery used by the
village inhabitants to ensure a fuller representation.

Compared with either the historic summaries produced by various people
and stored in the Ambridge Archives by Brenda Selwyn and the BBC's own
summaries these convey far more of the tone and nature of the encounters
recorded - but must be huge work.

On one of the days which I checked there is well over 1000 words - and
some of them look longer, which unless someone has taken up a speed
writing course I estimate would take at least an hour to write (you may
wish to adjust on your personal speed - I reckon it would take me longer
than that).

If you cannot face listening it is a worthy read.

And excellent as a research resource of various sorts. It quickly told me,
for example, that a Natasha, whose identity I'd half-forgotten. last appeared
in person three months ago.

A reminder that the file contains from 1st Jan to date of last downloading,
so maybe worth preserving somewhere handy if you're going to be making
frequent use.

Having invested in this modern fangled full fibre to the white box next
to me I now get things far too easily without additional cost - so not
so much of a problem here these days.
